We’re delighted that our plans to turn Horton Chapel it into a thriving community arts hub have been given a major boost  in the form of a £10,000 award from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

This money allows us to complete the first stage of our feasibility study into the project. We have retained the services of Crane Associates, an architect with specialist skills in heritage buildings, for the initial design. It will also go towards paying for our market research (which you can take part in by clicking here)

Ian Reeves, the society’s chairman, said: “The Heritage Lottery Fund grant is a massive vote of confidence for our project. Horton Chapel has exceptional potential to become a vibrant and exciting centre of Epsom and Ewell’s cultural community life – and this award gives us the springboard to make that happen.”
